ABOUT

Hi there! I’m Greta Rabbetz (she/her) and I’m a Canadian Graphic Designer. Thanks for being here with me. I hope you’re doing well!

Here are some of my favourites:

  • Font: Hatch
  • Colour: Yellow
  • Software: InDesign
  • Trend: Pixel Art
  • Book: I’ll Give You the Sun
  • Animal: Tiger

Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Greta has lost count of how many times her mom told her, “You march to the beat of your own drum”. It was something she hated hearing at the time, but had no idea it would become her greatest strength. Greta received a Graphic Design diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where she gained her love for the technical aspect of design. Never quite satisfied, she soon left for an Advertising diploma at Humber Polytechnic to encourage her creativity. Greta’s love of InDesign, books on punctuation, and hobby of rebinding books to give them personalized heat-pressed vinyl covers means she considers herself a real design nerd.

“My design philosophy is that work should be moving. I can’t say that I think everything needs to be fun and colourful, as Graphic Design can further important, serious messages, but I do think it should be meaningful. Whether that be through talking about social issues, raising awareness, or just adding something beautiful to people’s feeds or walk to work, design should be meaningful. So many people act, look, think and create the same way. I want to be different. I want to be weird. I want to start conversations.
